34-Ruinas de Pachacamac

One member of my family group would arrive in Lima, next day my husband, daughter and grandchildren to visit and spend some time with. I had made reservations at my hotel to all stay here. Picked up my husbands friend from the airport and went stright to the hotel. He came from Spain a long way and many hours of traveling. A room in the hotel was welcome for him.

Happy travels

Response:

DiasDePlaya :I installed perut.org software. It works. So hope it keeps working. What a releave! Now I can navigate through the maze of streets. Tomorrow back to Lima and will have decent wifi speed and will upload and describe MachuPicchu with details about trains, buses and prices. Stay tuned... The old weed will be back with more :)

. I have down loaded maps.me in my phone and used that as reference....yes has to stop a gazzilion times to find my bearings, roads are not always well indicated and was ALMOST ready to duct tape my phone to the Garmin.
Eventually I made it and on the way back got some wonderful lost route along the beach back to the hotel.
Job Nr 1 today, find a solution to my Garmin problem.

Is it a problem with the Garmin device or with the maps it is using? If the iPhone with Maps.me works better, perhaps a solution could be loading OpenStreet Maps into the Garmin device. I do remember that a couple from Germany that we met in Latvia mentioned that they have OpenStreet Maps in their Garmin. Or get a weather proof holder to mount the iPhone on the handlebar of Gora 3. She is such a good girl ! I am sure she will not complain.

Yes! You are a lucky girl, but I remember very well a visit to a successful entrepreneur who had a nice wood carving on the wall behind his desk. The carving displayed these words: "THE HARDER I WORK, THE LUCKIER I AM". Abosit, you bring your luck out to you, or at least a good part of it, by your work and attitude to the world around you. Keep it that way.

I just hope that when you get to Ushuaia you start applying a smooth pressure on the brakes... Gora 3 is not amphibious :)

Response:

...there always is Antartica !!...:) by boat!!!…:)

Motochica04:
Is there a lot of sand blowing a cross on these roads?

Response:

That was my concerns, specially finding them in regular 2 lane roads a hidden turn, but there is enough traffic to keep it clean. On some stretches I saw people (2-3 persons) with a regular wheelbarrow and a shovel removing the sand just from the shoulders to keep those clean. No problems....so far!
