Dough a member of the VSTP group lives in the area and was going to be our guide through the best roads in these mountains.
We got up early and found this fogy view.

Took the passenger peg and installed it in the riders peg, and voila ready to ride again!

A re-grouping stop along the Foothills Parkway
Then up to higher elevations
Trees are in full bloom at Fontana Dam, NC
Started at the Foothills Parkway, then followed route 72 to Tallassee and Hwy 411, turned off Route 360 South to Tellico Plains and from there my favorite road the Cherohala Skyway same as 143 .
Then connected to 129 heading North and stoped at The Dragon at Deals Gap famous place for motorcycle riders.
The famous tree of shame where riders have lost parts of their bikes while going to fast!
Somebody called us the “Twisted Sisters”.........and after this photo we continued riding the higher elevations where trees are still dormant.
Then down to the valley again along the river
After a great day of riding we are back to our cabin
